Say it ain't so! Kristy's gotta go! Good-bye and Good Luck.

Kristy Lee has been dodging bullets for weeks, spending more time in the borrom 3 than not. Tonight her time ran out. Just when it seemed Kristy was connecting with the judges and her audience, she had to say good-bye to American Idol. Syesha and Brooke Joined Kristy in the bottom 3 and Brooke appeared visibly shaken when she was in the bottom 2. It seemed like she thought her time was up. Ryan is trying to be more creative in building suspense since there are so few left. When Kristy was in David Cook's group it appeared she was safe, but in a cruel manuever, Ryan asked David Cook and Syesha to change places. I think Kristy knows she will go places. She will have increased exposure touring with American Idol this summer and then she can begin her singing career (again), probably with a Country label. Kristy has the best attitude out of the remaining 6 and stayed positive and cheerful no matter what the judges dished out. She's a class act and will be missed. Good luck Kristy, you'll go far!

Kristy Lee Cook makes it to the Magnificent 7!

Kristy Lee seems to be picking up momentum. Once a perennial favorite for the bottom 3, Kristy has managed to stay out of the doghouse 2 out of the last 3 weeks. In probably the season's biggest shocker since Alaina Whitaker was voted off early in the season, Michael Johns was sent packing despite never before appearing in the bottom 3. I wasn't surprised he was in the bottom 3, but I didn't think he would go this week. It shows the importance of bringing your "A" game every week, and Kristy Lee will need to give another stellar performance if she wants to stay around. There's alot of talk about how she doesn't deserve to still be in the competition, but she has a great voice, dresses well, has a great personality, and good stage presence. If she picks a good song for her, she will continue to do well. Bring it on girl!

Kristy Lee Cook makes it to the Elite 8!

Despite this being Country Week with Dolly Parton lending her songlist and advice to the contestants, Kristy Lee once again found herself in familiar territory...the bottom three. Randy and Paula liked her performance, but Simon thought it was common and forgetable. Kristy even had a sign made up ahead of time to put on one of the 3 seats saying "Kristy's Seat". Somehow she manages to make it through each week, but I'm not sure how much longer she can escape the ax. We know she can bring it and hope she shows America next week why she's still in the competition. Go for it Kristy!

Kristy Lee Cook is out of the dog house and on to week 7!

Kristy needed to hit a home run and she did it with her rendition of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA". She displayed the vocal range and stage presence we knew she had all along as she belted out the patriotic song. As usual, Kristy looked great, but she also seemed more relaxed and confident. Country is definitely her niche, and with Country week coming up, the pressure will be on. She needs another solid performance to prove to the public this week wasn't a fluke. We know it wasn't and we expect great things from Kristy! I'm looking forward to hearing Kristy do her country thang.

Kristy Lee Cook makes the top 10 in another close call!

Week after week Kristy Lee has found herself in the bottom 2, yet has avoided elimination. This week she put forth what she considered her best performance yet. Apparently it was enough for her fans to give her another chance to shine. Kristy's goal all along was to get into the top 10 and now she's there! However, if she plans on staying in the competition, she needs to "blow our socks off" as she said to Simon yesterday. For some reason she seems to remain tentative and not willing to really let go. Also, her song choices have not helped showcase her voice and charm. It remains to be seen if Kristy Lee can step up her game and hit a home run. We're pulling for you Kristy!

Kristy Lee Cook makes it through to Week 5 in another nail-biter!

Once again Kristy Lee had to wait until it came down to just her and David Hernandez to see if she would be staying on or going home. Fortunately for her, David went home. Kristy has been struggling to find her voice on American Idol this season. She has an amazing voice, but like Brooke, its not the booming knock-out voice of some of the others. Unlike Brooke who has made some good song choices and settled into her niche, Kristy Lee has yet to impress the judges and seems to be running on fumes with her fans. I thinl Kristy just needs to go for it and not worry about whether the judges like it or not. Her personality and charm are magnetic, and she can sing! Unfortunately we might not see the real Kristy Lee until she's gone from American Idol and she has her career launched by some other means. I hope she can stay on longer though. Go Kristy!

Kristy Lee Cook it through to Week 4 in a nail-biter!

Kristy Lee had to wait until the last two girls to find out if she would be staying on and being a part of the top 12. It came down to Asiah Epperson and Kristy Lee, and when the name was announced Kristy lee breathed a sigh of relief, but seemed a bit surprised. Not because she doesn't deserve it, but because this season, no one seems safe. Asiah is a good example. She definitely deserved to be part of the top 12, but once again, a talented performer goes home early. The good news is Kristy Lee gets to keep showing America her sweet personality and vocal range. She definitely is a country star. The question is whether America wants to see another country star voted as American Idol. Keep doing what you do best and let the votes fall where they may. We're pulling for you Kristy!

Kristy Lee Cook shines and advances to Week 3!

Kristy Lee came out singing with attitude and confidence in Week 2 and it paid off. The judges loved her and Simon said it was a 1,000% improvement over last week. Kristy sparkled with a metallic silver top and beautiful smile. Simon said she has alot of potential. Don't we know it!

Kristy Lee Cook makes it through to Week 2!

Kristy Lee was suffering from the flu, as were others, when she gave her performance in Week 1. The judges thought she lacked energy and the performance was bland. Let's hope Kristy Lee can bounce back and show them the huge talent that she has. Despite the harsh criticism from the judges, she maintained a good attitude and smiled through it all. Show the judges how wrong they were Kristy Lee!

Kristy Lee Cook makes it to the top 24!

Though Kristy Lee got off to a shaky start at her first Hollywood audition, on her second, she came back with what she knew best and won over the judges like she did in Dallas. Though only 24 years of age, Kristy Lee is already a seasoned veteran and no stranger to the music business. Look for her to do well this season.

Kristy Lee Cook is not your typical young lady. Until Kristy Lee Cook moved to Texas a few years ago to pursue her music career, she was living in a log-cabin style home, surrounded by pine trees, in Selma, Oregon, and riding her horse, Midnight, almost every day. Putting Midnight, an Arabian, through her paces usually meant jumping, racing, and swimming in the river--most of which Kristy did bareback.

David MacKechnie, a songwriter from Cave Junction, Oregon, heard Kristy Lee Cook sing and suggested that she send her material to Marty Rendleman in Dallas, Texas. It seems that Marty discovered and managed LeAnn Rimes for the first three years of her career. Kristy Lee Cook was 15 years old when the family flew Marty in to see Kristy perform at a local fair, but she immediately recognized the talent and agreed to sign her.

Marty had met Joe Galante, Chairman, RCA Label Group, while she was managing LeAnn, so it seemed only natural for Marty to introduce him to her latest country prodigy. Kristy Lee Cook was signed by RCA and put on their Arista label. A promotion deal with Britney Spears was put in place, and it seemed that "stardom" was imminent. Kristy Lee Cook was 17 when the label put some of their young acts, including Kristy, on hold and then dropped them.

Not about to give up her dreams, Kristy Lee Cook moved to Dallas to pursue her career and gain the experience offered by the many venues in the area. Kristy is signed with the Kim Dawson Agency for modeling and commercials, she has released her first CD entitled, "Devoted", and has secured the lead in a movie to be shot in the Fall of 2006, in Albuquerque, NM. This is a talented young lady with a very bright future.

Kristy Lee Cook's music idols are Martina, Faith and Shania (do we really need last names). She also loves the music of Garth Brooks and Gary Allan. Kristy has her own unique sound and style, which will be easily recognizable.

At 18, Kristy Lee Cook looks like a blonde, blue-eyed Brook Shields, has an incredible voice and is the wholesome, All-American "girl next door". The entertainment world is in for a treat! Here's the REAL American Idol!
